    Default Malimu? (cant Spell!)

    Hey guys, looking for a registered breeder that breeds PUREbred malimus (someone help me with this spelling!) Would be getting a female pup at around febuary next year, lots of time to build the new house and research! We feel that tia cant be an only child and we love big dogs! Obviously would be going to a good home with lots of space to run around etc

    Do you mean Alaskan Malamute? Kind of similar to a husky but not as fine and slightly more rounded?
    Best bet would be Dogzonline to see the registered breeders but I havent had any experience with any sorry!

    What she said .
    A pessimist sees the glass as half empty;
    An optimist sees the glass as half full;
    A realist just finishes the damn thing and refills it.

    Very high energy, pig headed dogs.

    This is going to sound rude, but if you don't know the name of the breed it is obvious you haven't done research into them (Google, books, etc).

    They aren't a breed for beginners.

    Malmute? Husky type spitz breed?

    Or

    Malinois (pronounced, Malin-wa, I think)... Belgian shepherd?

    Malamute husky type

    One of the worst dogs I have ever met. Mostly because all the ones I've met have had not nearly enough direction from their owners on what is and isn't acceptable. And other dogs can't tell them off or set limits because their coat is so thick they can't feel it.

    There was one that used to come to our park that my dog just flees from - because it plays too rough.

    I dont know if this is doing the whole idea of "judge the deed"....
    My cousins malamute is one of the sweetest girls i have come across, OUT OF ALL BREEDS i have come across. and she has not had any "formal" training or similar, just trained at home to be gentle, and basic obedience, but all done at home in the family.. so i am sorry but i dont agree with others posts about them all in general.

    Hmmm... I always thought it was pronounced Mal-In-Noy

    Which would certainly make sense... Like Illinois.

    All the breeders/ owners I know say 'wa'... but I see Anne's point.....

    Anyone?
