    Default Miniature Pinscher wanted

    Hi

    New to the forum.

Looking for a miniature pinscher puppy. Preferably female and Black and tan.

Would not like her to have docked tails or cropped ears.

Would like to obtain from Melbourne area or from within Victoria if possible.

Looking to have the puppy in 6 months or so.

    Thanks

Hi 'Tiffin' and to the forum ! Hope you enjoy being a member here !

You didn't say what you wanted to do with a ‘mini pin’ or how you wanted to get one – so here are some links for you to start with:

MINIATURE PINSCHER CLUB OF VICTORIA INC

MINIATURE PINSCHER CLUB OF VICTORIA INC

    Miniature Pinscher Breeders, Australia

As far as ear and tail docking goes - it is illegal in Australia - and has been for quite a few years.

    Thanks for the info.
I have previously looked at those links but thanks for sharing.

Did not know about the tail docking being illegal in Aus. I'm originally from uk. I've been a Daschund owner in the past. Looking for a small dog with a bit more energy than a Daschy.

These links should give you heaps of choices:

    Australian National Kennel Council

    Australian National Kennel Council

Again - you have to work out what you want and what you can handle !

Some of the Dachshunds I have known over the years - have heaps of energy - but then they were at a good weight and were loved and trained very well by their owners - plus they were able to do what they were bred for.

Good Luck and hope you will find what you want in a pup !

Breed clubs and their social events are a great place to start if you're looking for a pedigree.

If you just want black and tan with a bit more energy (ok ballistic)....

You could look at black and tan kelpies
Brandy - Medium Female Kelpie x Staffy in VIC - PetRescue

Well they're very cute. Being a herding dog, and they're really smart and always need a job to do - a bit like border collies.

Terriers with a bit more energy (or agility)
    Jack Russell
Tenterfield terrier (formerly known as miniature fox terrier - but they're not derived from fox terriers)
Manchester Terrier - look like a min pin to me but entirely bolder temperament
    border terrier
    cairn terrier.
