Hiya, i had a incident with Bernie reported to me when i got in last night.
Scenario: my daughter had been asked to take bernie for a swim during the day. she sent her boyfriend to do this. (lake is outside my gate, very close to house). The boyfriend has no authority over bernie, who loves to play with him all the time. And the boyfriend is a guaranteed ball thrower, even indoors.
So, dog is wet. doing zoomies. and then started barking at b/f, and began biting at him. b/f freaked a bit, bernie bit more. No skin penetration, but very little bite inhibition. And a first ever for bernie. He's never bitten, anyone.
Clearly, this is a rule breach for me. I did not ask for teenage boyfriend to walk, as not safe. and wont be happening again!
Meanwhile, is this something i should be working on, concerned about?
any thoughts folks? This is a non dog aggressive dog, never bitten anyone before and generally extreemly obedient to me, my OH and somewhat my daughter.
