Has anyone got any tips for me... My Irish Staffy born Jan 29th (approx 4.5 months old) seems to be constantly shedding her hair im not talking about a little bit (well to me it doesnt seems to be..) I would say approx a handful a day (if not brushed MORE IF BRUSHED) i can sweep up every day off my tiles (she would be inside approx 3-6hrs in living areas). It is winter here so the ducted heating is on as well.. I try to brush her 2 times a week but she hates it! I bought slicker to try stimulate her but she crys... when I used it I notice how much dry/dead skin is brought to the top. (I cant use it she runs from me as soon as she see's it) I use at oatmeal based shampoo on her fortnightly and goes to dog groomer every 5/6 weeks. I have had to go back to a normal dog brush but doesnt seem to get the hair off her.. I usually just rub my hands up and down her body so I can loosen skin and hair (she likes this). I also use a moisturising foam conditioner on her every 2nd day to make sure her skin isnt dry... I have been feeding her Holistic Select Large/Giant Breed Puppy Lamb/Oat Dry Dog Food and also give her 90gr of tuna is brine or springwater a day. The vet says she looks fine and is happy and healthy but to me she seems to scratch/nibble her skin more than any other dog I have had. Can you suggest anything else? She has regular worming and flea treatment as well.
