I'm about to make the annual visit to the vet. Last year when I took Jorjie, I encountered a young, female vet who seemed to be frightened of dogs. I thought it may have been Jorjie, who can be a bit over the top at times. Anyway, the vet didn't check her ears, her mouth, heart or lungs or take her temp, simply dashed in and gave the annual vaccination while I held Jorjie on the floor. I spoke with some friends, who also use the same vet clinic, and they reported the same thing with their very gentle little Cavaliers. The vet didn't seem to want to touch them. This year, when I make the appointment, I'm darned sure that I know which vet will be on duty - I don't want to see that female vet again. What's the point?
