I just don't know what to do! I love my dog but i don't want it to become a problem for other people.
While using an anti-bark collar on a seven month old puppy may not be ideal, it is better IMO than letting the behaviour progress especially when we know that people can harm and bait dogs with barking problems. To the OP - if you are really in doubt over whether it's the right choice, you could have a consult with a trainer first and then decide. My only recommendation if you do go with an anti-bark collar is to buy a good quality one!
well at the time when we purchased our collar it was one of the only ones around that were water proof..
you can buy one in pet store that are cheaper but they are not water proof i believe..
Personally I think you should see a trainer with this little working dog. This kelpie is doing what working dogs do naturally..the dogs need activity and training ,because little kelpies have a very active mind. They naturally want to chase and round up. that is what they were bred for.

there are greater problems you currently have then making noise. Your dog is extremely driven and what you are doing is building her drive, then frustration hence her biting you. As she becomes older it's only going to get worst, I suggest if you cannot afford much at the moment you start reading Leerburg Dog Training | 16,000 pages of dog training information, 300 free dog training streaming videos, free eBooks, podcasts, by Ed Frawley and Michael Ellis articles on training in drive and getting general obedience from your dog. A kelpie is a working dog with a lot of drive, it will chase your cats, birds and anything else it can to get drive satisfaction unless you start training it and by training I mean every single day at least a couple of decent sessions. Otherwise we'll be seeing another adolescent untrained kelpie for sale or FTGH.

owning a working breed in a city environment(particularly ultra active breeds like kelpies and BC's) need someone who can provide the mental and physical stimulation to stop them becoming bored. IMO, your dog is bored and needs more stimulation throughout the day, probably both mental and physical
