After asking for the bloat chart to be a sticky...........On Monday morning we had to take Katy in to Albury, 1/2 hour away......We rang the vet and he told us to hurry in with her symptoms. Vomiting, panting, drooling, not wanting food or water, pacing and in pain........We all thought bloat. I applied the Acupressure points and kept feeling her abdomen. Stress, stress stress......
The vet was very thorough, she had no abdo tension, she was uncomfortable and still unhappy and a high temperature...Not wanting to eat or drink. We went home. I walked her lots and gave her water via syringe.
This morning and all of last night she was restless,,,her abdo stayed soft, I kept applying the pressure points. Hardly slept. Had to go to work today, otherwise they would have to cancel procedures at our Department as we are short staffed.
Took her to the vet this morning again. She had a full blood panel done and bloods done to check if she had an infection (recent ortho surgery) and urine tested and sent to pathology. So $600 later..........Still no answer, but she was with them until I left work.
Picked her up, she seemed happier, greeted people and a puppy. She will be at the vets again tomorrow whilst i am at work. I am taking Thursday and Friday off
At home I let her off lead, she has not been off lead since the TPLO.....she went to her toilet are and did a poop....I looked and saw something white in it....A large stone!!!!!
So now I am hoping it is the culprit.........She asked for food, I fed her rice and egg. She asked for more, but I have left it at the small meal.
Rang the vet.........They cannot figure why she did not get bloat, if she had a mechanical obstruction.......Anyway, I am wondering if the acupressure points helped. She will have a sore stifle from all the pressure
I am crossing toes, fingers and paws............Please let her be well. She is lying at my feet snoring. Good to see her chilled.
I have not gone to training tonight, someone else will have to take my classes for the first time in years.
