Well, we've had an interesting development. Normally I drive the dogs to large parks where they can run off-lead, however every now and then we go for walks around the block as well. The cat has decided he would like to be included on these walks :s He sits at the door like the dogs before we open it, then goes outside with them and walks perfectly alongside us as we walk down the street - not stopping to sniff or anything, just walks along next to us with his head up and tail held high. I'm too scared to walk far with him in case he runs onto a road or something, but he gets so upset when he take him back and lock him inside.
He wrestles with the dogs as well - it's like the national geographic documentary where the lions hunt elephants (since he's 4kg and the smallest dog is 25kg) and he's just generally not very cat like these days. He's a Tonkinese - maybe that's the problem.
How do I make my cat realise that he's not a dog? He looks a bit scruffy these days because he's always wrestling, stalking and playing with the dogs and he doesn't seem to be as interested in cleaning himself. My partner commented the other day that maybe he's old enough to start acting like a cat now, the way someone would remark if you'd had your son playing with the girls lol until now. Since he was a baby he has been with Sammy, he even tried to suckle from Sammy at one stage :s and he never sees any other cats - is this the problem?
