Hi, I've switched my boxer x 9 month old female Ruby to raw food and Blackhawk Holistic dry food.
The guy at City Farmers told me he feeds his dogs the pet mince that is packed in 1kg bags, it's chicken mince, and he divides it into four portions for his two staffies, the other option is the BARF or RAW mince which are more convenient to me only as they are packed in pattie size portions (and I don't have to touch the mince)
I bought both, the locally prepared chicken mince is about $3 a kilo vs the BARF which is about $25 for 3 kilos.
Ruby loves the BARF, I have fed her the chicken and the combo, it looks like there's vegies in there too. Today I fed Ruby the pet mince from the local supplier and she loved it.
Does the RAW mince have a better grade of mince than the local, or would there be any great difference in the product as the price difference is quite significant ($3 a kilo against $7 a kilo) ? Thanks.
