I decided to prepare Katy for her post Surgery.
I am introducing her to her huge play-pen (well not play, more like a sick bay)
Getting her used to sitting next to us on leash at the couch....Which they tell me you can do after surgery.
Showing her how to go outside with me calmly on leash and her sling, shortest straight non-slip route...And asking her to pee and poo on leash and sling. Which we have not done for a while on leash.
I am also doing physio on all her good limbs, so that when she gets home she will know what is happening, when we start that on her injured leg.........She is loving it, because she is training and Katy loves training.
And I am pulling the other dogs in order around her...making them sit to greet and drop. I am just hoping to make it all go smoother when she comes home next week.
We have also enlarged the car ramp, to make it easier for her. They tell me we will be able to use a ramp/steps as long as she has her sling on and it is slow.
Dogs think this is great...... lots of treats for minimal effort
