Please spread the word. There are 4 Whippets in desperate need of new homes.
Zoltan is a beautiful blue male Whippet who's reason for surrender to Wyong pound was he's storm phobic. He's currently in foster care and has proven to also have separation anxiety and has been found waiting outside the front door for his foster carers return home. He was already de-sexed, is house trained, walks on a lead nicely and is fine with other dogs but does prefer them to be quiet and well behaved like he is or it worries him. He will need a special home where he can be contained if his owners go out. Zoltan is about 2yo.
There is also two brindle girls (probably sisters), again they are quiet, well behaved, walk nicely on a lead, non reactive to other dogs. They are in rescue at the moment but really need a place to call their own and stretch their legs. The rescue would like them to go together.
Finally there are two boys at the same rescue. All were in Blacktown Pound and I'd say come from BYB's. One boy is an attractive red/fawn with white trim in good condition, he likes toys, and like most Whippets walks well on a lead and is not reactive when walked past all the other dogs in the rescue to get to the exercise yards.
Then there is a tiny little guy, a real sweetie but not well bred, his rear action is very stiff but it doesn't stop him from being friendly. Unlike the others he's not coping being in the rescue kennels and is not eating and is losing weight and condition. He is small for a Whippet, particularly a male. He's fawn brindle and white.
