    Question Gsd?

    I have seen some people in here refer to a GSD. I am assuming it is a breed as it is usually in the context of "my dog was playing with a labrador and a GSD."

    Can someone please tell me what GSD stands for because the only thing I can think of is German Shepard Dog
    Owning a dog should be a partnership. Much like a good marriage it should be based on love, trust and devotion until death do you part.

    German Shepard dog is right!

    There is no psychiatrist in the world like a puppy licking your face.

    GSD = German Shepherd Dog
    GSP = German Shorthaired Pointer
    OES = Old English Sheepdog
    CCD = Chinese Crested Dog
    PBGV = Petite Basset Griffon Vendeen

    There's shorthand for a lot of breeds

    May I ask what a Petite Basset Griffon Vendeen is?

    One of the dog walkers at my morning dog showed up with a PBGV and I thought it was a three way cross with two scruffy terrier types and a basset hound. Oops.

    Hers has a lot in common with beagles in it likes to sniff and it's not very big on doing what it's told or recall, but she doesn't work at all at training it - couldn't be too hard as it loves food.

    ACD = Australian Cattle Dog or Blue or Red heeler or Queensland Cattle Dog.
    BC = Border Collie
    NSDTR - Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retriever - not that there are many of those here.
    GR - Golden Retriever.

    I guess it's a bit like country codes. - Does anyone else like how AU comes out as Hey You ! (with an ozzie accent)

    Hehe they can look rather scruffy looking but they are adorable! Apparently they are very mellow, nice dogs too.

    This is the PBGV that won R/U Best in Show at Crufts this year

    I admit while the one I know is a naughty rude dog - it is hard to stay mad at it when it makes those big round eyes at you.
