Come on guys.
I understand the frustration, but how is this helping the dog??
Mason is 16 years old, and has to abide by his parents rules and decisions. I grew up with a VERY strict Father, perhaps that is why i can understand Mason's position.
You need to remember he has sought out a dog forum for advice which is a positive step for the puppy. He has managed to get permission for training from his parents who didnt really agree. And he is communicating!
Not everyone 'gets' responsible dog ownership. Not everyone understands the issues. If they did there would be NO dogs in pounds and shelters!!!
There is NO education out there. No one knows the reality, or what their choices create.
I get incredibly frustrated and angry at times with people who do the wrong thing, and have expressed this on this forum more than once.
I see the worst of the worst at times. I spend hours bathing and clipping dogs who are litterally alive with fleas and miserable only to see their owner come and collect them!! If you tear shreds off them you loose them. If you spend some time sharing concern and information they MIGHT listen! and all the while you want to kick them up the backside.
What you need to remember is that this thread is a lifeline for this puppy, i would not at all be suprised if it is now severed.
I hope Mason has gained some knowledge here, and that he uses that to the very best of his ability for this sweet little puppy who is facing many risk factors.
My offer of pming me Mason is here ok.
