Well, its been a week and we have grown 1.2 kilos. Thats 11.0 kg's at 12 weeks old.
He had a appointment for his immunisation needle and heartworm needle just before class but it didnt seem to fase him. The vet did say to keep an eye on one of his bottom canine teeth that is rubbing on the top gum a bit.
If it gets worse it may need to be removed which is not really what i want to hear as i'm paranoid about him getting put under. Oh well, time will tell if it needs to come out or not.
The class went well and we had about 3 new dogs join the class. All tiny little breeds except Mojo and a boxer who is a real goer.
It was interesting watching the pups interact during thier off leash time.
The dogs where fine. Same thing cant be said for some of the owners though.
Because the other dogs are so small some owners where clearly scared of the boxer or Mojo goin near thier 'little darlings'. Blocking the bigger dogs access or trying to seperate them. No rough stuff went on but these owners where not giving thier dogs a chance to socialise properly. The bloke trying to break up the Boxer and some fluff ball with his feet was lucky i was in a mood to bite my tounge. It was kinda pathetic some of the over protectiveness and it did make me wonder if its the sort of thing i can expect in parks or beaches when my big fella wants to play with the little guys. Besides that though the class was interesting as we learnt about heart and intestinal worms. Worked on the sit and stay and troubleshooting toilet training. The lady who runs the class thinks Mojo is well on his way to becoming a 'gentle giant' as he didnt show any aggression and slept through the non off leash parts.
So apart from over protective puppy owners and the tooth issue all went fairly well and we are looking forward to next week. Mojo's stuffed and is crashed out at my feet. Asleep, again.
