Contender I have seen you sign onto a few pit boards, I will only give you this advise once, if you want to own an APBT without constant stress, worry, exorbitant costs or living the shitty existence of an outlaw to keep a dog safe, then up stumps and move to either of the two territories, the territories will fall in time however unless some sort of cultural shift happens, the writing is on the wall, with national/ Fed inclusions and standardised stuff that have been talked about, and are in the works as I type. How long, who knows, it could be a while it could be not long away.
At the moment the breed known as AST is safe as long as it has papers, this may or may not change in the future, but for the time being the APBT is outlawed and you will have to have the stones, and integrity to live as a guardian not just an owner if you want one.
Now out in the sticks away from prying eyes it is possible, it will always be possible to own and keep, but just read the stuff people go through on here on other boards and ask yourself how you could handle the stress, the loss, the heartbreak and is it worth it.
I have know doubt some others have given you advise also, but ask yourself this, apart from immediate gain of a dog that has a potential to live 15 years or so, what else do they offer, do they offer a life risk free of fines, risk free of a dog being seized, risk free of massive costs, minimal stress and a life where you can remain where you are as long as you want.
In the end the choice is yours but you have to realise the stress involved in dealing with BSL and all of its effects, its not just about a dog, its your life and the lives of everyone around you that changes.
You came on looking for an amstaff breeder, stick with it buddy is all I have to offer.
You can own an APBT, everyone has a choice, but believe me, its not easy, and to learn the ropes and tricks of keeping dogs absolutly safe in catch up mode, the same that old hands and breed stewards know, is a job to learn before you acquire one.
If you find yourself going through hell; Don't stay. Just keep on going.
