lol, Oskar has to stick his nose into everything, instead of having two sets of eyes watching me eat dinner (kids usually scoff theirs or decide it's not up to their standard), I have three lol
When and If I do have children I will certainly leave them alone with the dog (once I got the green light from child and dog) I too was always with my dogs, I think it builds confidence with kids and their interaction with animals I also believe dogs know what they are doing if they bowl a kid over once and the kid crys I think the dog would know oops i think that was too hard...isnt it like when dogs play bite your fingers...they know not to do it hard? Or am I totally off track hahah.. either way I say yes to doggie entertainment without parentals
i used to stay ay home or go out to the shops alone when i was like 7....in London! looking back on it my parents must have been crazy! but i did have a big old Shepherd to escort me to and from the shops haha!
I know with Ruby, she will play one way with my rommie (Rough) and other ways with the kids and I. When an adult comes in the house she will run at them and sometimes jump up in excitement when she knows them. She has NEVER done that with a child. Yes she has bumped a few over with her Big wiggly ass but never has she jumped up on a young kid ( Maybe when she was a puppy maybe)
This is something that we havent really taught her, as it was never a problem to teach her. Its just something she has picked up on her own. They are very smart little cookies!
