How many purebred dogs have you ever met? and how many have actually conformed to breed standard? the answer: not many. standards are GUIDELINES but some people (and judges) prefer taller/shorter/stockier/leaner (or whatever) dogs. if you have dogs out there that have no pitbull in them and are a little tall for their breed they can and probably will be labelled as such and be PTS.
