Disagreeing with the ridiculous views being postulated?
Personally, i feel that its a bit harsh, maybe a max of 2 years along with many many hours of community service, on top of never being allowed to own any form of pet ever again. But that's just my opinion.
Secondly i have seen little malteze Xs snap at little children and draw blood/cause a decent cut. And thats just at puppy school, don't get me started about the dogs at my local dog park! In theory any dog can kill a human, obviously relative to its size. (you'd have to be very unlucky to be hurt by a little chihuahua if you are an adult person.)
I own 2 "big" dogs, well they will be when they stop growing. They both have brilliant temperaments, but if you abuse my dogs expect them to have a go back (both have a pretty decent defensive drive, even at a young age) they show no avoidance to adversity, just ask the bloke who tried to enter our yard at night with a "weapon". HE split pretty quick and the cops arrested him that night. Anyways what i am saying is, if a dog feels threatened or is provoked then obviously nobody knows what the dog will do.
Every dog can bite, every dog can kill.
There is no such thing as a dog breed more inclined to bite.
These are facts. Scientifically proven facts.
Your stance is media bull crap that will do nothing more than harm everyone's dog ownership.
Laws affect the law abiding, those who ignore laws now are not going to suddenly start obeying them.
Wake up and smell the roses, reality is calling.
ETA: Most people are open to education. You have decided your reality and it doesn't matter how much proof we show you of the opposite you cling to the fantasy you have created.
You are lazy. You refuse to acknowledge anything that proves what you are saying is a blatent lie.

I think the punishment should fit the crime.
Treat every case individually.
Animal cruelty needs to be taken more seriously by the law and if that means long sentences then so be it.
A dog killing a human is a different matter. These proposed laws are a knee jerk reaction to the tragic death of a little girl.
I can think of a range of scenario's where a jail term would be completely inappropriate let alone 10 years.
AND God help me the day I just sit back and accept the law without question!!
When Nina open statement to me was (Lets just get this straight,we're talkind about dogs that kill humans). I have to think that I thought I put it all down before. As if you own a dog it has teeth and if it has teeth it can kill.
I think Nina is a full time joke if she thinks that a dog with teeth can't kill.
Oh but she said that she would never own a dog that would do that.
Get a grip you total fool, if you own a dog, then you own something that can kill.
And this is even the toy breeds.
Unless you don't own a dog or you have mastered a gene in the dog so they are bone never to have teeth.
So please let us see you new breed of dog then.
Now Nina has got this to say (Because if past behavior is a good predictor of future behavior. The thread will be closed. )
It now think's its Dr. Phil.

[QUOTE=clubsprint;139336]Any Bull derivative, Roti, Shepard, Dobe etc, so I guess I mean breed.
So the breeds that are commonly shown in the media? I mean lets face it, we never here of a Maltese attack in the news. It all comes down to the situation the dog is in, if it has a defensive drive or and avoidance drive, if the dog itself is stable and confident or unstable and lacks confidence. Just because these types of dogs are portrayed in the media as vicious man killers, doesn't mean they actually are out to kill people. Thats what a lot of people say to me when they see my dogs..."how can you have a dog that kills people?" Its all about temperament and how they are treated, not the breed itself. The only reason theses dogs are used in protection etc are because they have the strength to tackle a human being and bring them down.
What breeds are we allowed to own in your mind?
You'll take away the breeds that are used in law enforcement - what will the police, military and security use? What about customs? Prison officers?
What dogs are safe?
