I am so upset! My beloved 7 month old Golden Retriever is presently at the vets, having Xrays to determine if he has hip dysplasia in his right hip. I noticed him limping last wednesay, took him to vets on Tuesday (thought it was just a pulled muscle) and told the vet my concerns, so he did the 'Ortolani test', where a 'pop' was felt!
I have read up about it, and the vet said Jasper may need a Triple Pelvic Osteotomy. Has anyones dog had this procedure?
I have contacted Jaspers breeder, who is shocked to hear about him, as none of her dogs have ever had it. Just feel so fed up at the moment, as he is such a gorgeous loving Goldie and I want to do what is best for him.
Can anyone offer advice????
