They have done it twice before, i was going there with an intent to see what they said about it and not just going in and blaming them. Maybe i should have said that earlier.
I know what i need to do now with the yard and its going to cost $$$ but i dont care about that. This was more of a moral thing than a blame game.
just a hint, when we had a little terrier, he was always getting under the fence, so I lined the fenceline with treated pine logs staked into place against the fence, your dog is bit bigger than mine, but it might be a bit stronger than chicken wire
and cheaper than concreting it
I never take a persons's word when their actions say something different. Ie what ever they do is what they've agreed to - no matter what they actually said to your face.
Clearly your dog breaking into their place pisses them off enough to send your dog to go play in the traffic - which is very very pissed off if you ask me.
So meantime - make sure both your dogs are microchipped with up to date details on the registers, and have collars on with their current council rego and your (mobile) phone number - because that makes it easier for other people who find your dog to do the right thing.
And definitely want to keep the dogs where they cannot escape. Ie not in the back yard until the fence is secure.

ha ha, similar to our old one Lala, he was a jack russel cross maltese, cute and fluffy, but tough and terrier just like a jackrussel, if he wanted out, he was out
