This is the 10mo bitsa I got last weekend from a rescue organisation. She was found walking along a Sydney Highway about 4 months ago, so nothing is known about her history.
Her last foster carer thought that she was a staffy x kelpie, but the more I look at her, the less sure I am.
She does occasionally do the "staffy lean" and today I saw her 'slide tackle' another staffy she was playing with so she ended up under him - which apparently is also very staffy like. I can't see any physical staffy characteristics though.
I suppose the physical traits that stump me a most are the white chest and how high she carries her tail when she walks - it usually curls over her back.
She's fairly food motivated. Not really hyperactive, is quite happy to chill with a chewie in between walks. I don't think she's overly smart, but she responds well to reward-based training.
She stays close by when she's off the lead, approaches all dogs cautiously, but nicely and loves a game of chasie or a wrestle. She loves people and especially kids. Is very jumpy, mouthy and licky (working on that). She chases birds and tries to make our cats run so she can chase them.
I've only heard her bark twice since she's been here. A short fairly high-pitched bark when she got frustrated with the cats playing hide and seek with her. She's not very vocal in other ways either.
So what would your guess be on what breeds she might have in her?
