Someone asked to see my dogs doing some water work
Not the best pics, because I don't like having my camera near the water
We start them early, Katy at ten weeks. Annabelle keeping a close eye on her
Katy at five month in the Murray.....the rope is on the Bumper not the dog
Dogs going to rescue Mike
Collecting a timber bumper
Pulling Mike back to land
Dropping off the rope, which is attached to the bumper the dog hold and returns to land with
Tessa our little dog, pulling Mike in by herself.......
Kate going in for rescue......
We teach our dogs to drop off a rope to the Person or a Buoy. We only allow them to pull us in. Strangers only get "drop off's" to be pulled in. If you teach them to get people the person drowning might drown the dog.
It is actually the hardest to teach, because the newfy has an innate need to rescue
Katy brining the bumper back to the kids
