Hi everyone ! hope your all well ....i havnt been on for a while...settling in- just moved out couple months ago.
Sam, [my 8 year old border collie] has taken to jumping the fence at my new house :/ previously he was always living on farms, hes now an inside/outside dog and has learnt to use a pet door.....toilet training in 2 days after always being outside dog was amazing.
anyway, unless i leave him with a bone or someone babysitting him when i go out he will jump the fence. the only fence short enough to jump on one side leads to nighbours yard and they have relatively high fences too... so he was obviously pretty keen to get out... luckily he doesnt go far .
the first time someone grabbed him out on st for me until i got home , the second time i woke up to find him gone [overnight].... opened the front door and he came running up the street and came in. so im glad he doesnt wander. .... third time i saw him running around neighbouring yard so just in time got him back.
does anyone have any solutions? or a success story?....
also i read years ago about a harness that they wear that prevents them from jumping?
