I have just read this. I dont know where I stand on the issue really.
Cafe pet ban
I have taken Gigha to our local Gloria Jeans. I sat outside on a table closest to the curb and furtherest away from other people. For their benefit and hers as she was only small and a bit scared. I thought this was ok.
However I dined at an awesome resturant on the Glod Coast where the tables were all outside, under cover, and a couple brought their dog in and the dog sat under the table next to us while we ate what turned out to be a $300 meal.
Now for me, I wasnt comfotable with that. What is the difference? Why wasnt I comfotable. Well I guess it was because
a) the amount of time spent eating a meal as supposed to a coffee and cake. The dog was there for two hours.
B) the amount of money we were spending and the type of resturant it was. It was not cheap and def not a 'cafe' takeaway.
C)I was concerned about the dog doing it's business right next to my table
D) I was also concerned that when my back was turned my 4 yr old would be off to the dog and then we would have dog fingers and licks whilst having dinner. My problem to control my child BUT at the same time, I am out for dinner in a resturant, not a park and it is a worry I dont think I should have..
Having said all that the dog was well behaved, didnt even bark or do business so maybe it is me that needs to change my attitude?
What do you guys think?
