I have not read back so apologies if I am repeating anything.
At the abattoir here is Tas every animal that passes through is killed in the Halal fashion.
Slit throat, then bolted. It is not just places like Indonesia, it's happening right here in Aus.
It is fast, but the animals still have to feel the knife going through before they are released from the pain by the bolt.
Here we have no choice BUT eat Halal red meat... as they do it to every single animal. Even the chickens are "blessed" before slaughter.
If I had the option there is no way I would eat Halal meat, but of course, there would be too much wastage and too much work to figure out how many packets of Halal they would sell to bother sorting out which animals should be slit and which shouldn't.
