Kristy, I am not keen on the electric stuff, shes just a tiny wee thing. Also she is very determined once she sets her mind to something so I think she'd just go hard. I think it's the foxy in her LOL
Di dee, that sounds like something to think about. We are not too stressed about looks either (back fence already looks terrible LOL) but not sure about the putting it in the ground (we want to be able to move it occasionally so they arent just weeing in the same place all day everyday)
Newfsie, weldmesh could be a goer. Looks similar to what it has on the sides of the coop. I am just concerned about feet getting hurt but in saying that, I dont know if they will be running round in it, probably not, I think they sleep most of the day and wait for zoomies til we are out there. Most of their play is play fighting and rolling round so might be OK.
Chook house is pretty flash eh...I think its gorgeous and really suits perfectly for Pippi...
It's a shame we dont have a large concrete area to put it on.
I did see some things you attach to the corners and plant in the groun, almost like tent pegs that we would use.
Another thing I have been looking at too is lining the inner edge with bricks, that would put Pippi off digging if shes not right at the fence line (mind you, she has stopped digging at the fence so maybe she won't do it....arggh I dont know).
Thanks guys, have given me a bit to think about anyway. For now, she is relegated to being inside anyway so she can't escape.
