I own this very gentle male staffy crossed, he is 7yo now. His behaviour has always been exemplary. Since a few years now, we go to visit my friend Nick that owns a male Kelpi, 3 years younger.
Since day one, Doom (my dog) is acting funny at the sight of Bif (the kelpi). He walks on tip toes very slowly and growls at him. Bif is pitipatering all over the place and seems not too sure of what he has done wrong. He often tries to approach Doom but Doom turns his back at him and carried on his awkward behaviour. It is becoming really embarrassing because now I live there and Doom keeps going just like day one.
They went trough a few fights but it happened only because of someone was stirring them up. Usually it is just tactical standby between the two. I take them both across the road to play stick and they seem to share the exercise pretty well, Bif who is the fastest concedes to Doom the privilege of the fetch.
But on a daily basis, it is really annoying, constant growling etc.. What to do??
