Im gonna join the judgemental lot.
Changes in circumstances should be taken into consideration when obtaining a pet of any sort.
Yes, I think there are totally valid cases for rehoming pets but for th emost part the excuses dont wash.
Moving interstate is hardly a major, and I too am curious as to why the poodle is not also being rehomed.
A small yard is not a hinderance to a big dog, they dont run around like maniacs all day fgs and isnt that what walks are for?
I dont know the OPs reason behind th emove interstate so I don't condemn her personally, but I do question why it must be the rotty find a new home.
I especiallyhate when people say the pet is much loved and have a lame excuse. The pet is so loved it has to go for no real reason.
One of my faves recently was a maltese and a shih tzu I saw being rehomed. They had had a litter together and the children of the house wanted to keep a pup and they didnt have room for 3 tiny dogs so the adults both had to go to make room for their own baby...WTF?
Rant over. Sorry OP, was not really directed at you and I hope your dog finds a nice FOREVER home.
