Ok so last night Pippi managed to get off the property (long story, quite amusing will tell it later maybe) and the minute she got through the hole, she was called (I didn't know though and that's where the funny bit comes in) and she came straight back!! Pippi has a pretty crap recall even inside the house but I have been practising with her and obviously it worked.
Anyway, as a result of the escape she was ocnfined to the interior of th ehouse while we were at work today.
Now, Pippi is say 98% toilet trained (she is 2 in June and has been by far the hardest dog I have ever had to loo train, I am thinking it's a small dog thing). She will go outside if the door is open not a problem. But if the door is shut, she won't let you know that she needs to go out so if you aren't watching her and you miss her going to check if the back door is open, she will just pee in th eback hallway. This usually only happens at night and she has improved, i.e. only done it twice since Christmas.
Well, I figure shes going to be inside all day today so I take her out this morning for a good while after brekky and then I lay some newspapers down fo rher to go on because I assume she won't be able to hold on all day.
And she did!!!!!
I got home and she had held on all day!! I am so proud of her. And I am also super pleased about the recall actually working as I figured if she's escaped there is no way she is coming when called.
I know it's not that great, but I am proud anyway so wanted to share LOL
Now I might have to do another thread with the escape story.
