so sick of going outside to find more things chewed.
the rotties lost their sleep inside privileges when one night they chewed the skirting boards, treadmill cord, couch, bra and shoes. they had been sleeping inside for months without an issue and one night they just went to town.
then they were shifted to kennel on our veranda and we soon noticed our brand new outdoor chairs, brooms, chewed
they have ripped up 3 mats / beds and now have to sleep on the wood floor of the kennel or in the grass (i feel cruel doing this but am scared of consequences of ingesting fluff) i know large breeds can get pressure sores from sleeping on hard surfaces im scared of this but what can i do?
they had heaps of toys that have been eaten including a knotted rope toy which lily passed a 30cm piece of rope. im at the point now that they get locked out in the large portion of our back yard that has their kennel and bowls and clam shell pool (which are all chewed)
they have chewed cricket and baseballs to bits
pretty much anything that enters our back yard gets tasted/ eaten
they are walked for at least 1.5 hours a day and we play with them and fetch every day to try burn some more energy
i feel bad for them not having a bed and the only toys that have survived are 2 kongs and somehow a tennis ball thats harleys fav.
they get out for free off lead runs with other dogs about once a week.
does anyone have or has had these issues and know any ways to combat this.
thaught getting a second rotty while harley was young would stop the boredom , now just twice the trouble lol
but i love them, right now they are sprawled out accross lounge room floor sleeping like angels.
