I agree the 1's that get a 1 clean shot or needle are better off than being keep in the retirement camps waiting for homes as I have seen myself.
I love horses was into racing & trotts but with exsperaince & much watching I have come to beleive not much good comes of the race industry.
I live next door to a by racehorse trainer who thinks nothing of punching a horse in the jaw or eye & has the cruelest set of hands I have ever seen. Most horses leave his yard are headed for the doggers some are picked up straight off the yard by the dogger truck. I have a couson that breeds & owns some racehorses in training & he dose not even like horses really just the race industry & money that he can make. His mares in foal do not get the care that I know he could afford as it all comes down to profit margin.
Maybe there are good trainers out there but they are few & far between because of the dozen or more yards I've been on the horses well being diffently wasn't their priority.
