Thank you kalacreek I am finding neddie has already learnt almost that he needs to sit before I open the door and he isn't to move. Not perfect, but learning quickly. As in the car he often sits now before I open the door and stays til I allow him to jump out. I've been practicing that one for a while as it can be dangerous him jumping out before I am ready for him.
Thank you Newfsie for sharing your story with me. It really gives me hope that I cam help neddie. I got a little concerned when I saw him growling at my sisters children the other day just once and only for a sec, but it made me realize I really need to work out what is going on inside his head. He loves children, licks them, doesn't mind being patted or cuddled. So was confused. I think he was also getting tired.
It is so reassuring and good to hear so many positive stories. I know he isn't broken after all. I will let you know when I take him to see someone and how it goes
