Posting here too as I want members opinions/ideas too!
Poppy is a bit of an escape artist and I have posted about this before. I have JUST got home from work and as I drove up our little street I see her sniffing over the road in someone elses front (un-fenced) yard. She saw my car and bolted for it. I slowed RIGHT down, opened my door and she jumped in! I was shocked and scared that she was out and that she ran for the car! I couldnt help but think the worse!
We thought we had found all the gaps in our fence and blocked them and I *think* after today we REALLY have but I'm after some ideas to keep her entertained while we are at work?
My fiance and I are at home 3 to 4 days a week with her so she is not home alone 5 days a week! I have got her a variety of toys and I know she plays with them. I also have a kong (although think I need to invest in a bigger one as she still has a puppy one) and give her raw hide bones and fresh bones.
I really struggle with exercising her. I don't have the physical fitness to walk her for very long but try and take her to the dog park and play in the yard with her as often as I can. I am working on MY fitness and hope to be able to walk her more often in the months to come. A BIG part of my hesitation to walk her is my own self confidence.
Should I be investigating paying someone to walk her a few times a week? Help!
