I'm new here. I was a stalker over at DoL forums, but since I have 2 crossbreeds, I was afraid if I signed up, they would come after me LoL. Luckily I found this forum which states crossbreed in the title...ahhh I'm home.
I have one dog a LabxBorder Collies (Boorador or Labracollie), and as of this weekend will have a playmate for her, a toyboy (LoL) who is a Kelpie x Border Collie.
Lila (Labcollie) is 8 months and Benji (Kelpcollie) is 4 months.
I want to get them on a proper balanced diet, whatever is best for them.
I don't, however have time to research for ages, as I have 3 little kids and a lazy hubby LoL, so I already have my work cut out for me.
I have heard BARF is quite a lot of researching, time, trialling & errors, so was thinking a compromise that I saw one breeder feeds?
So something like Canin/Uncle Albers sometimes mixed with chicken mince and raw bones?
Does that sound okay? Right now my dog is on everything LoL, she is the garbage tip, she will and does eat everything...with no consequences, amazingly. She has optimum dry food mixed with optimum or coles brand (yes I know, smack me) wetfood, and has bones nearly daily (chicken necks, giant beef bones etc) The puppy is currently just on pedigree or something else like that dry food.
So does anybody have a me-and.you? (MENU) or opinions??? Any help is appreciated, I just really want to get it sorted out before new pup comes, I know I will have to introduce it slowly (with the puppy at least).
Looking forward to hearing from you
