Hi Puppy lurver
It is fantastic that you are looking into things now it gives you lots of time to find the best option.
I feel 6 weeks is a long time to be in a kennel environment, esspecially for your puppy. Some kennels cater for excercise time, others dont. If you decide to kennel, make sure it is highly recommended with rave reviews, and then check it out personally. Just drop in unanounced and ask to see the kennels and set up.
A family member who you trust and value is a great idea. Make sure you have everything they need, food bedding, emergency numbers etc. Collars and tags are important, also ensuring your bubs are chipped and registered and all details up to date. Also have a backup plan incase anything changes.
Give them plenty of toys and stimulation, scratching poles etc.
The home environment would be the least disruptive.
Have you ever heard of house swapping? I heard about it ages ago and it sounds great. Someone in England may be in the same position as you....You would stay at their place and they would stay at yours and it's free!
Try a google search, there is an agency i think who helps you and everything is thouroughly checked out...just a thought!
Good luck, and let us know how you go
P.s do you need any bag carriers!!?? I would love to visit England one day
