Yesterday I took Candy to her 1st (and my 1st ) off leash area...she is now fully vax'd and Falcon doesn't give her the sort of play she really needs. (Falcon couldn't handle an offleash area..he'd try to be a rotty in a mini foxy body...lol...and Jess (RIP) would just stand by my side and never play).
Candy got what she gives Falcon ALL the time...LOL...very friendly dogs who were outgoing and happy to play, jump all over her & put her in her place...(but in a nice way)..there were no fights ect...just a lot of erm....'trying to hump' ..LOL Candy had no idea what was going on...this staffy male (not desexed) kept trying "it" on Candy, the owner was good and kept a sharp eye on her dog and got him off everytime. After 20 mins or so...she opened up and started to play back...even learned how to keep the 'humping' at bay...hehe!! She really enjoyed herself! I've never had a social dog before...it's nice to see them all play, run around and have a great time
Myself and my daughter can't wait to take her back there again later on thisarvo to meet up with her new friends!
I know offleash areas are different for each and every dog.....so is your dog sociable and playful...do you enjoy the offleash areas...or (like I was with Jess)...meh...not 'our' thing?
