RIP Nona, this should never have happened.
The world is not a safe place. My heart also goes out to Nona's family.
I'll also echo what you said. Send chills down my spine when I heard about it. Her poor family and friends.
Both the skids (in their early teens) were not too thrilled to have me added to their friends list but at least I feel I can keep a bit of an eye on what's going on.
Ditto all of the above comments. It does show exactly what can happen on the net.
It is absolutely chilling. A trap that any one could have fallen for if they were so trusting.

Yes that is a very scary story. Poor girl and her Family. Unfortunately the internet attracts some not so nice people.
OMG what a very sad & scary story
The world out there is a very dangerous place indeed.
I do have trouble understanding what would compel anyone to go off with complete strangers, either online or not, all I can guess is there must be a feeling that they 'know' someone, without actually knowing them at all?
It's just tradgic. RIP to the young woman, I hope the scum who did this rot in prison for a very long time..
If you find yourself going through hell; Don't stay. Just keep on going.
The fact that her parents had met the guy aswell...
