James (18 week labrador) has been getting only raw bones as his evening meal since he was 16 weeks old. Occasionally, part of his dinner ends up being a turkey neck.
Last night I actually hung around to watch him eat his turkey neck, as the past few times it's been gone by the time I'm back from going upstairs to throw out the gladwrap it was in. He'll chew maybe 1/3-1/2 off it and then just swallow the remainder whole.
Assuming he's monitored and not choking whilst doing this, is it a problem? I'm worried about how capable he is of actually digesting a solid neck - should turkey be wiped off the menu?
