our visits from the bunny. Well at least this one anyway.
While on the forum not more than 20 minutes ago I could see where all the dogs were except Tilly and Moo, no problem, Tilly's a bit more wired than the other dogs and doesn't rest as much. We got her last November aged 16 months.
Then I went out to the BBQ to cook some snags for use as training treats, normally clicking on of the burners will result in being greeted by all dogs. Which it did with the exception of Tilly and Moo.
I called and Tilly came from down the back with Moo on her heels. I gave her pats and the second I stopped the two headed off down the back again.
I went to investigate and could see when I got to the rise a white body.
I've removed the body and put it in the poo bin which Mickey is now guarding (bit late now mate).
And while I'm not pleased to be now getting rid of the rabbit body at least there will be no more visits from the very white rabbit that's been stirring them up of a night. It's white with some ginger patches on it.
Tilly hasn't eaten any part of the rabbit, it was still warm, yuk I could feel that as I picked it up in the shopping bag, it had puncture wounds on its back so I think she broke it's back but does any one else think it's strange for a rabbit to be out in the middle of the day? It is mottled shade in that area with heavy bush on the other side of our fence, but do you think she got it so quickly and quietly, not even alerting the other dogs because it was sick/poisoned?
I will be watching her carefully of course.
