    I would say that growing wise, 18 months onwards

    Mentally... well, we are going on 6 years....

    Depends on the breed. Mine don't physically mature until around 4. They attain most of their height by about 2 years. Mentally? Puppies until around 2years old, pain in the butt teenagers until 4 at least.

    I've heard Irish Wolfhound people say that their breed are puppies until around 5 years old and then elderly and passing away at 9 - more puppyhood than adulthood!

    The ANKC classes anything over 2 as an adult for the purpose of showing.

    I have heard Pits dont physically mature until approx 3-4yo however there temperaments are pretty well set in concrete once they are 2yo...................just what I read somewhere!
