Hi again Siska
I will try to be brief on this as it is such an emotive subject for me .
To me a registered breeder becomes a Puppy Farmer/BYB the minute they breed two dogs together without thinking - is this going to better/improve my breed/lines?
To me that is what being a 'breeder' is all about.
Loving your breed and doing everything in your power to keep you breed safe and see it improve.
I totally agree that some registered breeders are nothing more than Farmers with a prefix . But at least they can be governed at the moment , BYB's cannot.
I do not mean to lump all people in the same boat but can I ask why your friend would want to breed crosses ?
oh and kudos to her for doing all relevant testing etc...does she also have a desexing contract or similar in place? or are the pups desexed before they leave? Also does your friend agree to take back any pups should the new owners have drama's ?
