Okay, as some of you are aware, Logan is de-barked. I have never in my life owned a de-barked dog, therefore have never given it much thought, if any.
I am however, amazed at after just 24 hours with her seeing how much she uses other forms of communication!
Last night we had a bunch of what I assume were drunken louts (sounded like it anyway ) lurching around down in the street. Now I was asleep and I couldn't hear the louts nor Logan barking as she was racing down to the front room windows. I did wake however when she came into my bedroom, started licking my face (arghh) and backing out of the room whilst continually looking back to see if I was following. That's when I heard the drunken louts carrying on. I thought her behaviour was rather amazing.
This morning she spent a good deal of time 'seeing' our cat through the large windows in the lounge. I was in the kitchen. She came in, licked my hand and kept backing towards the windows as if she wanted to show me what was going on, just like she did last night.
This is an alien experience for me, and I am finding it really interesting.
Anyone else here got any experiences to share concerning living with de-barked dogs?
