Thank you everyone, some very helpful information there on a subject of which I had no idea.
One thing that stands out like the proverbial dogs *alls to me is the quality of dry food. I absolutely still feed dry food, (although not to Bella) I could not feed all the rescues if I did not, but what I have read tonight states it is so important to ensure that the dry food you use has meat products as the first 3 ingredients to quite possibly reduce the incidence of bloat. The general public are just not aware of this and I find that quite sad given all the other factors that prevent me from feeding the rescues the cheaper dry foods.
It also states to be sure to mix wet food with the dry food which I always do, but I do know plenty of those who do not and would be absolutely mortified to think they were risking the onset of bloat.
