Oh, just went back and re-read it, in one post he said it was his dog, but must have meant the photo was his dog.
In My Home Dog Minding
You are right, Greys, if my brother had microchipped Lucky and things had been done properly, he would have returned to us with no trouble. It is a hard lesson to learn from. And I'm sad that he has not made calls as soon as he was missing to find him. Another picture of our dog - please contact me if you have any info on him.
Getting your dog back would probably be difficult. I think that the new owners would have to agree. There was a similar case in the USA recently and it became a bit of a news story. The adopting owners finally relented and gave the dog back. Same thing though, the original owner was slow in looking for his dog.
If one of my dogs went missing I would be in a total flap and would leave no stone unturned, that is for sure. There was a rather sad case here when someones pet poodle with a medical condition went missing. They had massive photo posters made up with $1000 reward offered and posted these posters on every main road within 50 km of where the dog went missing. I drive by those posters and feel so sorry for the owners.
