There is no problem. My best girl Tess and I get along fine. However she sometimes shows behaviour that puzzles me.
Every now and then, for a reason I can't fathom (for "simple beasts" they can be complex) she will bring me here dinner bowl...why would this be?...... no....she brings me here dinner bowl but very nicely and gently refuses to give it to me. She wags her tail and whole body, curls up and looks me straight in the eye, quite friendly, almost twinkly, makes little sort of moaning noises (not whining, just an even sound) and hangs on to the bowl, even though I have the food out already.
She is a bolshie, boisterous girl, but very well behaved and I can only say actually polite, in that she seems to consider us and do things just to be nice. If we throw somethong (typo intended...a thong is all she will chase) for her, sometimes she will want to tug-o-war. That I can understand. But why the dinner bowl?
In the end usually I just either stop playing or tell that she cannot eat dinner without her [I]plate[I] and she hands it over.
Any advice appreciated. As I say I am not bothered by it. It's rather cute. But I am interested, and if there is a meaning to it, I want to be able to understand and respond properly according to both of us.
