I have just broken into my next door neighbours yard to go and get Batty.
Their dog dug under the fence almost enough to get through and dragged Batty into their yard. Batty was screaming and scared. I am so P***ED off right now. THE BASTARDS WERE HOME, REFUSED TO ANSWER THE DOOR THEN HAD THE HIDE TO YELL AT ME!?!?
I've just yelled at them, grabbed Batty, gotten in the door, checked him over (he's not cut but seems sensitive, maybe bruised, on his neck where he was dragged).
They won't fix the fence from their side and I have tried everything to fix it from our side. I have put metal stakes in the ground, their dog dug them up. I have nailed wooden boards into the fence, Levi pushed through. I have put bricks, concrete squares, besser (sp?) blocks down and Levi pushes them over then drags them to his side of the fence. I have asked them to fix the fence on their side nicely many times. I have told them this time that if Batty is injured they are paying the costs.
What on earth can I do? I'm not allowed to concrete it because this is a rental, so anything I do has to be able to be taken away again.
I was scared of Batty getting hurt, hopefully he won't go near their side of the fence anymore, but I can't rely on that hope!
Hubby's only idea (called him already before I went back to the neighbours and lost it at them) was to tether Batty when he's in the yard. I don't want to do that because it doesn't seem fair that he has to be tethered because they can't be bothered keeping their dog occupied.
