I consider my mum & sister quite knowledgable ppl when it comes to looking out for dogs. In defense for Asher they say that pitbulls AND pitbull crossbreeds have liver coloured noses. I questioned her theory regarding crosses, how do you know the cross just didn't inherit the colour. But sis says the genes of the PB is dominant and even when outcrossed they would always retain that liver coloured nose. I have tried researching to find anything about genetics and the breeding of them. I would love to prove ppl wrong and to say Asher has no PB in him because his nose is black. I never suggest it to anybody but once someone mentions that word everyone else puts shields up.
I personally couldn't care less if he did. He is my angel and always will be. Absolute beautiful dog, although proving to be very protective of our yard. I am just curious to hear your thoughts, how far from truth is my sister in identifying pitbull (or doesn't have) in a dog purely on the colour of their nose?
