Breeder contacted me yesterday to discuss what sort of diet she has Logan on, and to ascertain what diet I would prefer to be giving her once she arrives. The breeder decided to start weaning Logan off the food she is on now by adding raw minced meat and minced chicken carcasses to her food and slowly diminishing the amount of dry food Logan has been having.
Personally, I feel this was a magnificent approach by a breeder. The idea of having Logan arrive already (gradually) changed onto a similar diet to what I will be feeding her makes a great deal of sense, and IMO shows an excellent attitude from the breeder. She is obviously thinking of ways to help make the change of home easier on all of us.
Yep, I'm impressed - at this point, anyway.
