This morning, no cues, no commands, I picked up his bowl and started to get his breakky (hubby ran out of time this morning) and instead of tangling up my legs, hanging around begging and grunting at me he raced, and I mean raced into his crate, went into a drop stay and focused on me the entire time he was waiting for his meal
It was perfect! I have been sending him to his crate before putting the cats bowl down, then walking up to his crate and giving him his breakky, he waits for a command to start eating.
I'm so happy! Gone is the command of "In you go" being repeated 4 or 5 times while he tries to trip me up - well, for this morning anyway
I'm really happy!
I think it's because I was playing games with him yesterday, sending him into the crate and calling him back. He loved the games, sometimes he got a treat, sometimes he got to play tug, on the last send in he got a bone and I stopped the games while he ate that. Downside is he keeps going in, whining racing back to me sitting, racing back in and whining again lol. But at least he's enjoying it a whole lot more now!
Sorry, I'm proud to bursting and there's no one to tell here, plus I figured that you guys would be the better ones to tell all about it
