I don't think Bull Breed owners are doing the breed any favours by tearing the throat out of a newbie whose comments were not deserving of the nastiness.
Pounds are full of staffies and crosses. I don't think the OP meant any disrespect in regards to comments about why there are so many of them in the pounds. I know personally that the most common reason I have heard for Bull Terriers being surrendered is that they are too much dog for their owners to handle. It's simply people purchase these dogs and don't train them or teach them social skills or manners. They may get destructive or aggressive and then dumped at the pound.
I don't believe we need more rescue groups. I'd prefer the need for less of them and more effort put into stopping the cycle of over breeding and the dumping of animals to the pounds. People need to start taking responsibility for their own actions and help stop the sensless deaths of so many dogs and cats.
